Allison Walters and Diahn Hayden of the Barton County Health Department were blessed to receive funds from the Barton County Shriners Club, Mason Lodge No. 292, and the Lamar Elks Lodge 2800 to attend the 20th Annual Kidz in Motion Conference in Madison, WI.
The Barton County Health Department would like to extend our deepest gratitude to each organization that donated to make this trip possible for our employees. Both Allison and Diahn are certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) that were greatly enriched by having the opportunity to drive to Wisconsin, stay in a hotel, find nutritious meals, and attend the conference solely through donated funds. Each was able to obtain their required extended education hours to continue offering CPST services at BCHD and learned additional information on prenatal seatbelt safety they are excited to begin implementing here at home.
“Kidz in Motion, Inc. was formed in 2003 with one purpose: to foster child passenger safety through education, best practices, and technological advancements through an annual networking conference.” They are the only international conference focused on child passenger safety which gives exclusive access to car seat manufacturers, cutting edge CPS research, and workshops for everyone in the CPST family.
