Did you know that car seats and boosters have an expiration date?! Time goes by fast and in a quick few years of use your car seat may go out of date. This is a reminder to check those expiration dates! You can typically find them on the manufacturer’s label on the bottom, back, or even on the plastic shell itself. They may also be printed into the shell of the car seat rather than on a label. Infant carriers should have the date on both the base and seat itself. Some seats say “Do not use 10 years after manufacture date” instead of a printed date, and that manufacture date should be near the label if this is what you find!
Below are photos of various car seats with their expiration labels!
