Measles: More Than Just a Rash
With various confirmed cases of Measles across the state being shared publicly this week, we thought it would be helpful
BCHD is proud to provide car seat education and car seat safety checks by two certified Car Passenger Safety Technicians! These services can be provided to anyone simply seeking information, needing installation assistance, or to those who’d like us to check the safety of their own installations.
Car seats can be provided to Barton County residents in the event that the family is unable to purchase one and the child does not have a safe seat to ride in. One seat provided per child.
Appointments preferred!
Everyone! There are no requirements for our CPST’s to provide you with education or help with your installation.
Barton County residents who are unable to purchase their own car seat that do not already have a safe car seat for their child.
Only one car seat can be provided per child.
No car seat is safe if it has been in an accident, please discontinue use immediately.
Most car insurance providers will reimburse you for a new car seat or provide you with a new one if you are involved in an accident. If neither of these options apply to you, we may still be able to help. Call today to talk to a CPST about your situation.
YOU DON’T! There is no way to know if a car seat has been in an accident and for this reason, we DO NOT recommend purchasing used car seats, even if they are yet to expire. If you cannot afford a new car seat, we can help you!
Every car seat is different. Dates can be found on the car seat side, back, or bottom label. If unable to find the label in these areas, you may also look for the date on shell of the car seat in the same areas.
Still unsure? Bring it into our CPST’s, we are happy to assist you!
