BCHD Diaper Bank Awarded Two Grants in October

In October of 2024, the Barton County Health Department had the high honor of receiving two grants to aid in the continuation and growth of our diaper bank. The first was provided by the Barton County Community Foundation in the amount of $1,120. The second was provided by the Jewell and Danny Little Charitable Fund Grant in the amount of $5,000. These funds will be used for the purchase of adult and children’s diapers/pull-ups to benefit the residents of Barton County. The staff at Barton County Health Department would like to thank all the donors who made this possible!

The Barton County Community Foundation was founded in 2015 to enhance the quality of life in Barton County through resource development, community grantmaking, collaboration, and public leadership. They have proudly distributed more than $3.8 million in grants to the community and look forward to serving the residents of Barton County for many years to come.

The Jewell and Danny Little Chartable Fund Grant is a donor-advised fund partnered with the Barton County Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of the Ozarks with a shared mission to develop Barton County and enhance the lives of those who live there.

We are thankful that local organizations with goals to help our community prosper have so many wonderful opportunities to seek funding for their various missions of development. With the help of these two and others, BCHD hopes we can accurately promote a healthier you by the prevention of disease and restoration of health.
